Easily Make Boutonnieres Yourself

It is really quite simple to make boutonnieres and corsages for your wedding party and family. You need minimal supplies and they can bemade in minutes.

All you need is a single bloom, a bit of greenery, a small bit of tulle,ribbon and some floral wire and tape. "Tulle" is a fine, starched net ofsilk, rayon or nylon. You can buy it in rolls like ribbon.

Take a single bloom, cut the stem to about 3 inches long. Do the samewith the greenery. Cut a small piece of tulle and wrap a piece of floralwire tightly around the center of it so it looks like a fan. Do not cutthe wire off. Now take the bloom and place the greenery behind it. Put the tulle behind the greenery and use the wire attached to the tulle tohold all three pieces together by wrapping it around the stems. Once you have completely wrapped the wire around the length of the stems, cover the stems in green floral tape. Add a corsage pin and voila!You now know how simple it is to make boutonnieres!

You can always add a little "Baby's Breath". It is a bouquet and corsage classic.

Here are a few unique ideas you might like to try that will add to your beach theme...

* Rather than using flowers, use a seashell. You can buy them already attached to wire stems or you can do that yourself.

* A single sand dollar backed with tulle and a tiny bow is very pretty.

* A butterfly in ivy.

* A lone starfish is very classy. You can get them in many colors.

* A multi colored "swirl" lollipop with some tulle and a bright bow would be great for a Rainbow theme.

You can buy your supplies at any craft store but one of the cheapest places to find seashells is right on eBay You can find anything you can imagine there. It doesn't matter what you are looking for or how weird it may be...someone there has it! Don't believe me? Think of something completely "off-the-wall", something totally strange. Got it? Okay...now Search eBay. I bet you will find it there!
