Cocoa Beach, Florida

This month I headed of down to the Florida "Space Coast" in hopes of seeing the space shuttle Discovery lift off. As we all know...that didn't happen. Maybe on the 26th is the latest word from Nasa. Hopefully, they will fix the faulty fuel gauge and our astronauts will be blessed with a safe mission!

Anyway...a trip to the Space Coast is never a waste even if the shuttle doesn't lift off! I just took the opportunity to spend the day in one of my favorite places...Cocoa Beach!

Here is my "to do" list whenever I am in Cocoa Beach...

  • Hang out at the beach for at least two hours soaking up the sun and "people watching".
  • Kill an hour or better poking around in Ron Jon's Surf Shop buying beach trinkets that I don't need but are just "too cute".
  • Spend a while at the Cocoa Beach Pier. Eat at the Mai Tiki Bar. Browse in the shops and check to see what everyone is catching.
  • Top it off with a "Blazing Banana Boat" from Ricky's and head home feeling like a poisoned pup 'cause I ate too darn much!

That's just a day trip. There is soooo much fun to be had in and near Cocoa Beach.

Find out why Cocoa Beach is the perfect place for a beach wedding...

Theme of the Month - Surfing!

Surfing is BIG in Hawaii but you don't have to be anywhere near Hawaii to enjoy a good surf party!

If you and your partner are surfing enthusiasts, a beach wedding with a surf theme would be such fun. Casual, colorful and carefree!

Coming up with places to find "surf stuff" was not as easy as I thought it would be but that's okay. I'm stubborn!

Here are some ideas to get you going with your surf themed beach wedding...

    Florida Destination Beach Weddings

Just wanted to mention that I have launched a brand new site, All-Florida-Beach-Weddings.com. This site is dedicated to Beach Brides everywhere who dream of marrying in beautiful Florida.

If you grow weary of searching for information only to find links to more links to more computer generated link farms...I think you will appreciate this site.

You won't find anything but good information and direct links to real local vendors just waiting to help you with your dream wedding in Florida!

I hope you enjoy the new site as it continues to grow.

    Hurricane Dennis in Pensacola

You may have heard that "Hurricane Season" here in the south has started off with gusto! Pensacola and area were still trying to rebuild when hit again to a lesser degree by Hurricane Dennis earlier this month!

If you are just a bit curious...
